Experiencing the peace and quiet of the heaths of National Park Dwingelerveld, the Dwingeloose Heide, is something special. RCN de Noordster is located just where the forest ends and the heath begins, where a shepherd still can be found herding his flock. But there is more to see than nature at its best. The region also has plenty of cultural sights of interest.

Cycling and walking
RCN de Noordster is located in the Dwingelerveld, so you can walk or cycle right into the woods. There are 40 kilometres of cycling paths in this is natural park alone, in addition to a 23-kilometre mountain bike trail. The Dwingeloo Radio Observatory, a single dish radio telescope, is something worth stopping for along the way.
Trips in the surrounding area
