Walking and cycling
Wedged between RCN de Schotsman and the Veerse Gatdam lies a beautiful forest which offers some wonderful walks and trails. You will also enjoy the wide-open agricultural landscape and unspoilt nature along the banks of the Veerse Meer. From Kamperland you can take the bicycle ferry to visit the picturesque town of Veere.
Sailing and fishing
At RCN de Schotsman vacationers who own a boat have the convenience of a trailer ramp and jetty in the Veerse Meer for mooring purposes. From here you can surf or sail for miles over the Veerse Meer, from the Veerse Gatdam to the Zandkreekdam. On the lake, it is possible to catch flounder and sole. If you want to go fishing for sea fish, then head out to the North Sea or the Oosterschelde.
