The resort also has a fossil field. If you are not 13 years of age yet, you can have great fun digging and shovelling. RCN has buried treasures in the field that are millions of years old. That is such a long time ago that even the grandma of your grandpa and grandma doesn't remember. We bet you'll find some fossils and minerals! You can show your dug-up fossil or mineral to the recreation team and collect a stamp on your stamp card. You also get a card that tells you everything about your treasure. Besides, you'll receive a free entrance ticket to the Naturlias Natural History Museum in Leiden after you've found your first treasure. There is lots to do and see in the museum! The fossils and minerals did not end up by itself in our fossil field. They were collected for us all over the world by the International Dinosaur Digging team of Henskens Fossils in Oss, www.henskensfossils.nl.  In addition to the numerous fossils and minerals we have also hidden RCN rix in the fossil field. If you find a shiny RCN rix, you can exchange it in the restaurant for a scrumptious ice cream!

At all centres (with the exception of RCN de Potten and RCN Toppershoedje) skeletons have been found of the Tyrannosaurus-Rex! (T-rex) If you are under 10 years old, you can help with uncovering the skeleton by means of your hands and a brush.
