An enjoyable day out with the children? Then the Nationaal Modelspoor Museum (National Model Railway Museum) in Sneek is a must do. We can also recommend indoor playground Ballorig in Heerenveen.
Sporty adventures with a Frisian touch? What about hiking on the mud flats (Wadloopcentrum Fryslân) or ‘fierljeppen’ (pole leaping) as an alternative activity to sailing?
In addition to the Frisian lakes, the Wadden coast is also well worth visiting, just as the Gaasterland forests.
