Chaos de Montpellier-le-Vieux

Chaos de Montpellier-le-Vieux is known for its beautiful rock formations that have been created by erosion. The area is approximately 120 ha. large and lies on the flanks of the Causse Noir. There are five clearly marked routes in the area with the themes walking, picnicking and activity. There is also a motorised train for those who would like to explore the area with a little less effort. One highpoint of the area is the natural arch of 12 metres, the Porte de Mycénes. Montpellier-le-Vieux is closed in winter.
