Shame about the shield bugs

We visited the day before to view the site and really liked the large pitches and riverside location. On arrival what a lovely helpful warm welcome at reception. A bottle of wine gifted to enjoy our stay. While the site and staff were really nice, unfortunately the area was plagued with shield bugs which made the stay so uncomfortable we left after only one night. We appreciate that this is not something the site can control and we would have stayed longer if they were not so prolific.

Nice campingsite

We had a fantastic stay. Friendly staff and great facilities - the bar closes too early. The pitch was not as trimmet as last year and there was a lot og mud/dirt.

Mr and Mrs Dent at Bastide, Ardeche

We very much enjoyed staying here. Beautiful, well-kept site with excellent facilities. We were disappointed that the sanitaires closest to us were closed a few days before we left, which caused some difficulty. Our only complaint was that there were foxes on the site and both of us had shoes either eaten or taken away by these animals. The staff on site were aware od this problem but we were not made aware of this when we arrived.

Goed, maar moet beter

La Bastide en Ardeche ligt op de juiste plaats, mooie natuur en rivier, alles dichtbij maar voor een camping die zo hoog in de boom zit qua hoogseizoen tarief moet er voor zorgen dat alle voorzieningen in het hoogseizoen netjes en draaiend zijn. Kinderdouches waar al jaren een stroken mozaïek tegels ontbreken op de vloer. Al jaren meer dan 5 douchehokjes niet begaanbaar door een simpel slot wat niet werkt of de thermostaatkraan niet te draaien valt en loeiheet is. Dit moet echt opgelost worden voor hetgeen wat je vraagt. Als deze dingen opgepakt worden dan mag je wat vragen. Wordt wel goed schoongemaakt. Verder fijne recreatie en opzet.

Pure joy *****

We had such a great time on this campground, everything was so good and pretty clean, the only downside maybe was the bar closed up at 21. The pool is amazing and the staff is realy helpfull and polite, the campground is placed in the most scenarie and beautyfull area. We will be back next year.
