Talk about endless walking and cycling tours! Around RCN ‘De Noordster’, situated in the middle of the National Park “Dwingelderveld”, you find a unique variation of scenic beauty (more than 3,500 hectare). ‘De Noordster’ is one of the most beautiful spots for a lovely holiday. It is hard to imagine a more pleasant departure point for splendid excursions through the woods, sand drifts and the endless unspoilt heath is hardly thinkable.

You will not find heath as sound and so exuberant as at the ‘Dwingeloose Heide’, the biggest and most important wet heath reserve of Western Europe. Here they still look after the natural management with sheep flocks. Marvellous scenic areas, ‘esdorpen’ landscapes and green brook valleys: The views are breathtaking, wherever you look.

Swimming

The little ones make special discoveries over and over again in the aqua play paradise at the park. Several stairs, exciting slides, splattering water fountain, fun animals and bright colours, every time they go round they see something new.

Older children (and adults) can also swim very well, in a heated open-air swimming pool with a huge slide, at a few minutes walk from the park. Our guests can use this swimming pool for free.
