Practical questions

Here you will find all the practical information you need for the Recreation Training Weekend. Do you have any other questions? Then feel free to contact your (new) manager.

• What are we going to do during this training weekend?
During this training, you will get to know your recreation colleagues from all the French RCN Holiday Parks and become familiar with Club Sammy, the beloved RCN mascots. You will learn everything there is to know about working in recreation at RCN, from organizing and presenting shows, bingo, and Fun2Dance, to setting up engaging sports and games activities. You will learn how to create an activity program and what activities must be in there.

Hospitality plays a key role in your work, and you will gain insights into how to handle common guest situations with confidence. To ensure you are fully prepared for an unforgettable season, you will receive practical tips and tricks from experienced and enthusiastic recreation managers. They will guide and inspire you, helping you develop the skills needed to make every activity a success!

• What time and where will I be expected?
The location of the training weekend is RCN Domaine de la Noguiѐre (Address: 1617 Route de Fréjus, DN7, 83490 Le Muy, France).

You are expected to arrive on Friday, 3 July as the training weekend starts early on Saturday, 4 july. On Friday, you are welcome from 5:30 pm, but it is also possible to arrive later that day, depending on your travel schedule. Participants who arrive on Friday before dinner time are welcome to join us for dinner and a drink that evening, so we can already get to know each other.

The Recreation Training Weekend will end on Sunday, 5 july, around 1:00 pm.

• What will be provided?
During the weekend, you will stay in an accommodation on the park. Sheet packs are provided in the accommodations. Meals and tea/water/ lemonade will be provided throughout the weekend.

Don't forget to mention any dietary requirements and/or allergies when registering.

• What do I need to take with me for the weekend?
- Toilet articles
- Towels
- Nightclothes
- Sportswear & clean clothes that you can also normally wear during recreational work
- Comfortable shoes you can walk on for a whole day
- Some money to buy drinks different than the provided tea/coffee/lemonade
Make sure to start the Recreation Training Weekend well rested and bring your biggest smile.

• Will my travel expenses be paid?
For travel expenses to/from training, you can fill out a travel expense claim form through your (new) manager upon employment. Travel expenses will only be reimbursed based on invoices of tickets booked (2nd class). If you come by car based on toll & fuel receipts. Bank statements do not count as proof of payment. You must plan travel in consultation with your (new) manager.

• How to get to RCN Domaine de la Noguière
To get to RCN Domaine de la Noguiѐre you can take the plane and/or train. The closest airports are Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur and Aéroport Marseille Provence. From both airports you can take the train to trainstation Les Arcs-Draguignan (trip is between 1 hour and 1.5 hours). 

To get to the trainstation in Nice from Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur you can take a tram. This is clearly indicated at the airport. To get to the trainstation in Marseilles from Aéroport Marseille Provence you can take a bus. This is clearly indicated at the airport.

You can be picked up at trainstation Les Arcs-Draguignan to get to the campsite (15 minute drive). To arrange this, you contact the following people:
