RCN Laacher See | Camping pitch – by the lake

Camping RCN Laacher See covers 7 hectares. The camping pitches are easily accessible and have a flat layout. The campsite is located in the Vulkan Eifel National Park. Many spots offer a stunning view over the crater lake.

 

All camping pitches have their own electricity connection and a water tap nearby. The campsite is situated in a sunny location but also has the necessary shaded areas due to the natural vegetation.


Sanitary facilities
There are modern sanitary facilities. In the two sanitary buildings, you'll find a baby and children's area. We also gladly welcome guests with disabilities; there are adapted showers for them.

 

Playgrounds

Various playground equipment is spread across the site. These are indicated on the map.


Car
On all camping pitches, the car must be parked at the pitch.


Pets
Pets are welcome (for a fee). Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the sunbathing area by the lake.


Wi-Fi
You can use free Wi-Fi.

Excellent stay
Everything about this site impressed us, booking was straightforward, no check in our vehicle was recognised and in we drove. Superb pitch looking over the lake with electricity and water. Nice little hedges separate the pitches. Wonderful sanitary facilities. The high spot, apart from the view is the restaurant and of course all the wonderful staff.

A break by the lake.
A very relaxing break in a beautiful lakeside location. The reception was very helpful in extending our stay. The waitress in the restaurant very jolly and helpful in explains the menu which did not have an English translation. We had a delightful 9km cycle around the lake. We hope to return next year.

Well done RCN
Great stay on pitch 6. Loved it. However, what could be improved is bread in the morning, this wasn’t as good as other RCN sites we have stayed at. Also, your day guests using the lake also use the toilet block and showers which meant my wife was stood 15 minutes waiting! When there are only 5 toilets/showers something should be done to stop this. They don’t treat the facilities well either leaving dirt behind. Your staff are amazing and we will no doubt return in the future. Thanks.
