Your role
As the receptionist you are the first point of contact for our guests. You will give them a warm welcome and make them familiar with our holiday park. You’ll tell them about everything there is on offer at the park and in the magnificent surroundings. You’ll do everything to make sure our guests experience an unforgettable holiday.
What you will be doing
Multi-tasking, setting priorities and taking responsibility. But that’s the joy of this job, alternating and varied. You will attend to both back office and front office tasks. You will be dealing with reservations, emails and payments. You will be answering the telephone and handling check-in and check-out for our guests. You’ll provide them with any information they require and interact with them in a friendly, hospitable manner. You enjoy solving all their questions even when the reception area is full of guests and the phone is ringing.
Who we are
La Ferme du Latois is located in the scenic French countryside but also close to the sea. Formerly it was a farmstead but now it is an atmospheric park with a pleasant rural feel. The old stables is now in use as the main building and there are many other remaining references to the romantic farming past. There’s everything to do in the surrounding area. Inside quarter of an hour’s drive you’ll be on the beach. That’s just as well, because the Vendée has the most sunshine hours in the whole of France!
What we are looking for
A lot! But that’s what makes it so challenging and instructive. Working in a holiday park puts big demands on flexibility. Needless to say, you understand that this job will entail working at weekends and on public holidays, all during the holiday season.
You:
- are at least 18 years old
- are presentable, communicative and hospitable
- are stress-resistant and enthusiastic
- have a good command of the English language
- have good computer skills
- do not have a 9-5 mentality
- are familiar with at least 1 foreign language (preferably French), knowledge of Dutch and German is not essential but is a nice-to-have
- preferably in possession of a certificate in first aid /emergency safety at work
- can provide a recent Certificate of Good Conduct

Accommodation at the park is possible but not mandatory. If you stay in the park, you will be charged a small contribution. You will be working under a French contract. The French working conditions for campsites (Collective Labour Agreement known as HPA=Hôtellerie de Plein Air) will apply.
