Ski lift

Ski lift

In July and August several ski lifts to the Alp's highest peaks and glaciers are open to visitors. You may take one from Ale d'Huez, Vaujany, Les Deux Alpes or La Grave la Meije. The lift takes you to a 3,200- metre altitude between mountains, where you will enjoy views of valleys and villages. At the mountaintop you walk through the glacier's eternal snow while taking in a spectacular view from the top of the world.

Adventurous

Are you looking for something more challenging? Go rafting near the campsite! A special boat takes you through glacier melt water at full speed. You can go for some family rafting at the Vénécon or take somewhat older kids to the rough Romanche near La Grave. Perhaps you'd rather go canyonning in the Alps. A guide takes you gorge walking, which involves walking, climbing, jumping, swimming and abseiling.

From glacier buttercups to trumpet gentians, the Alps offer a huge variety of plats and flowers. The low valleys as well as the high alpine pastures create an isolated area for many species that cannot survivie outside these regions. Want to admire the Alp's flora?
