Gorges du Verdon

The Gorges du Verdon is also known as the Grand Canyon of Europe and is definitely worth a visit. It is also a good place to go for a walk. The Lac de Sainte-Croix is a popular destination in France because of its location at the mouth of the famous Verdon Gorge. You can rent canoes, pedalos, and sail and electric boats from various places on the turquoise coloured lake and there are, of course, various beaches, large and small.
