A thoroughly enjoyable week on site, all ended too quickly, would definitely recommend a stay here

This is a great site. We will come again when we are in the area. Lovely large pitches with immaculate facilities. Plenty to do on site. Swimming in the pool, fishing in the lake etc.

We booked a comfort pitch but was allocated a pitch that was a play area. We were told it had been measured and filled the criteria, but it was not a good pitch at all! It was secluded with poor access and not up to the standard or appearance of the other comfort pitches. It was in with the RCN camping tent pitches, we have a caravan, and didn't even have a pitch number! On the map it wasn't highlighted the same colour as the other comfort pitches, (a pitch we'd paid extra for), actually on the map it wasn't even a pitch and was tricky to find also. We returned to reception to request a different pitch. We were calm, very polite and gentle in our manner, however the receptionist was very unhelpful. We had to insist on a different pitch, she said there was nothing. Then she asked us to go away and come back in an hour (where we were supposed to go I have no idea having just arrived from South Wales with 3 children and a caravan). Then she said she needed to see to her money first. Eventually she gave us a different pitch. It wasn't comfort (we were looking forward to a better pitch which we'd booked back in January), but it was significantly better than the first one and we were refunded the difference. It was not good service. The site itself was good, shame about this particular member of staff who we witnessed being most unhelpful with other clients also.

The campsite was very nice and the kids loved the pool, cafe etc. the Vendee was pretty awful though!
