We loved our stay at Laacher See and wish it had been longer. Such a beautiful, tranquil setting and the park offers every amenity. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Snack bar was delightful and offered service when the restaurant was closed. Staff were exceptional - friendly and very helpful. A special mention for exceptional service to Klaus - who helped us with an electrical fault in our caravan - his wife, Nicole, and Christiane at the Reception Desk. They made our short stay a memorable and pleasant one. We would return here without hesitation.

Everything about this site impressed us, booking was straightforward, no check in our vehicle was recognised and in we drove. Superb pitch looking over the lake with electricity and water. Nice little hedges separate the pitches. Wonderful sanitary facilities. The high spot, apart from the view is the restaurant and of course all the wonderful staff.

A very relaxing break in a beautiful lakeside location. The reception was very helpful in extending our stay. The waitress in the restaurant very jolly and helpful in explains the menu which did not have an English translation. We had a delightful 9km cycle around the lake. We hope to return next year.

Overall, our family loved our stay at Laacher See. Positives - The pitch was a great size, it was fantastic to have its own electric and water tap, and the hedges gave privacy from neighbours, and had lovely views of the beautiful lake. The shower and toilet block had plenty of cubicles, and were kept clean. We only left site to head into the town of Mendig to the supermarket, we spent all of our time enjoying the lake - hiring paddleboards, which were reasonably priced, was a highlight! The Blockhaus was great - we only wish it was open a bit later! We enjoyed the takeaway fries and delicious ice creams from the shop (walnut and cassis were our favourites), had lovely fresh croissants and baguettes each morning, and had a great meal in the Blockhaus! Our only negative comment is that our pitch was right next to the Blockhaus, which became a hangout area for kids at night, with between 20-40 kids each night who were very loud until gone 11pm every night, which meant that we couldnt have relaxing evenings and our kids were kept awake by the noise. Was a bit of a shame.
