If you would like an action-packed holiday, RCN de Jagerstee is the ideal base from which to explore the area.

There are interesting places to visit in all directions: beautiful nature reserves, charming towns and villages, and large attractions, all of which are within easy reach of the park, from fishing villages to cities along the IJssel River, amusement parks to zoos, the Zwolse Bos to National Park De Hoge Veluwe.

Cities

Visit atmospheric villages, such as the ancient fortress town of Hattem, or go shopping in large cities as Arnhem, Zwolle or Deventer.

Go for a walk in the woods around RCN de Jagerstee. Covering no less than 5,500 hectares, National Park De Hoge Veluwe is also a must.

Attractions

At only a 20-minute drive from the park, in Apeldoorn, are three major attractions: the Apenheul, amusement park Koningin Julianatoren and Paleis het Loo.

A visit to Paleis het Loo is a special experience you cannot afford to miss. In Hattem there are three interesting museums waiting to be discovered.

Adventure

Tackle climbing tracks through the trees at the Klimbos in Ermelo: guaranteed fun for the whole family. The Klimbos Ermelo outdoor climbing centre is surrounded by woodland in the splendid Veluwe region. People have been coming there to push back their boundaries, under the watchful eye of professional climbing instructors. Or go on a challenging mountain bike tour.
