Basic in set up & service, but the stunning setting makes up for much
The accommodation we booked showed some very obvious signs of wear and there was smell of weather in the canvas of our tent villa. The kitchen was not kitted out w the type of coffee machine indicated, was missing basics like a chopping board and a fruit / veg peeling knife of any kind, the largest pot was tiny for a place for 6, no microwave or oven etc. The gas fireplace was not working but as reception was closed when we found out it could not get fixed. As it was 9 C during the day I would have assumed they would have checked. The towels, for which we paid extra, were at the end of their life, the pillows were lumpy and old etc. We also arrived early from the airport with a jetlag. We were told check in time was strict. We respected that and left for a few hours. As we were allowed to peruse the property we did however note ours was ready and cleaned as we witnessed the team leave. So they could have chosen to let us in. When we came back 14 min before check in time we were made to sit in reception and wait out the 14 min. Considering it was a quiet midweek day, outside season, and the price point I thought this whole response was extremely unfriendly and unnecessary. The setting of the park is gorgeous, however when the park filled in the weekend all the kids stuff was overwhelmed in no time. Something is off in the balance between price & quality here. We'll likely pick another place next year.
