You are the first point of contact for our guests and the restaurant team. Providing optimal service is the main objective for you as restaurant manager. You are always ready for our guests, paying constant attention to their wishes, orders and holiday enjoyment.
What you will be doing
The restaurant team takes care of everything happening in the snack bar and the restaurant. You manage the team and will know how to motivate them all so that everything runs without a hitch. You set high standards for hospitality and ensure that there is always a welcoming atmosphere in the operation. You will manage stock, draw up rosters, administer finances, account for FIFO and ensure that everyone complies with the HACCP regulations. You will have a proactive mindset when it comes to activities, promotions and new products for increasing turnover. You will be constantly asking yourself how you can improve service. As the restaurant manager you will perform various restaurant functions yourself. In short, anything and everything with no day the same!
Who we are
RCN Val de Cantobre lies in the middle of the unspoilt Les Grands Causses Regional Natural Park with breath-taking, panoramic views over limestone highlands and wooded hills. The terraces are situated on the southern side of the mountain and always in the sun! The surroundings are perfect for cyclists and hikers. But for those who like adventure there are plenty of sporting challenges such as canoeing, canyoning, paragliding or extreme bungee jumping with leaps from 46 to 107 metres height!
What we are looking for
A lot! But that’s what makes it so challenging and instructive. Working in a holiday park demands flexibility and hard work. Needless to say, you understand that this job will entail working at weekends and on public holidays, all during the holiday season.
- are at least 24 years old
- have several years experience in catering and in a managerial role
- are presentable, enthusiastic and hospitable
- are good at planning and organising
- are able to cope with stress
- have a strong sense of responsibility
- have a customer- and service-oriented personality
- are able to work both independently and in a team
- knowledge of French, Dutch and/or German is not essential but is a nice-to-have
- have a certificate in first aid/emergency safety at work (or willing to obtain these)
- can provide a recent Certificate of Conduct
- are available for a minimum of 6 weeks in July and August
