Arrival & Departure
General
May I visit an RCN holiday park if I am not staying there?
Yes, visitors are welcome at our holiday parks. Check in at the reception upon arrival and park your car in the general parking area outside the barrier.
You may use the catering facilities and playgrounds. Swimming facilities are usually not accessible to visitors due to limited capacity.
Would you like to stay overnight with someone at the holiday park? Discuss the possibilities with reception.
Can I charge my electric car at the holiday park?
Yes, charging electric cars is possible at all RCN holiday parks. Our park map indicates where you can find a charging station. Payment can be made with either a charging card or a credit card.
Charging electric cars is only permitted at the parking spaces equipped with the designated charging stations. If you charge your car elsewhere, we will be forced to charge a fine.
Can I check in earlier or check out later?
An early check-in or late check-out is possible, but always by arrangement and dependent on availability and cleaning schedules.
- Earlier check-in: can be requested up to a maximum of 2 days before arrival
- Later check-out: can only be requested on site at the park reception
In high season this is often not possible. Want to discuss options? Please contact us.
How does checking out at RCN work and what do I need to do when leaving?
The check-out time is stated in your booking confirmation. Guidelines are:
- Accommodations: before 10:00
- Campsite pitch with private sanitary facilities: before 11:00
- Campsite pitch: before 12:00
Upon departure, leave your accommodation tidy. In accommodations you will find a flyer with the exact instructions. This usually includes, among other things, tidying up, washing the dishes, taking out the rubbish and returning the key to reception (or placing it in the mailbox outside opening hours).
If you have not booked the final cleaning (in France), you must clean the accommodation yourself.
How does the barrier and access to the park work?
The barrier operates on license plate recognition and is open for entering from 07:00 to 23:00. Exiting is possible 24/7. You can register your license plate in advance via MijnRCN, the Contact Center or the reception.
On arrival the barrier opens automatically by license plate. If this does not work, you can use the access code you received in advance.
Only registered guests have access to the park. Visitors park outside the barrier. Experiencing problems? Use the intercom or contact us.

Do I need to bring sheets or towels to my accommodation?
For a stay in accommodation* at a Dutch holiday park, sheets are included for guests aged 3 years and older. You can find this on your booking confirmation under ‘free sheet package’.
At our French holiday parks, sheets are not included. You can easily add sheets, towels and other extras via the Mijn RCN App. Of course you can also bring your own bedding and towels.
*Except for camping and tent accommodations without sanitation.

What can I expect from a motorhome pitch?
Our motorhome pitches are specially designed for motorhomes and have a hard surface, for example gravel or concrete-grass pavers. This keeps your motorhome firm and stable. The remaining part of the pitch is usually grass, so you can also sit comfortably outside.

What can I expect from a campsite pitch?
Pitch sites at RCN are suitable for various camping units. Pitches all have their own power supply. At some parks there are also comfort pitches or pitches with (luxury) private sanitary facilities available.
On a pitch you may place up to 2 additional small tents (maximum 5 m2 each) free of charge.
You choose the exact size, exposure (sun/shade) and location of the pitch via a preferred booking when making a reservation.
Can I go camping in the winter?
Yes, winter camping is possible at several Dutch RCN parks. At some parks, (part of) the campsite is open all winter. At other parks you can only camp in winter on weekends and during school holidays, on specific pitches with heated sanitary facilities.
See this page for the winter camping options at your favourite holiday park.
