Peaceful and family-friendly

Arriving just after peak season, we were fortunate to have a quiet site. The accommodation was clean and had everything we needed; very minor improvements would be a few more dishwasher tablets and/or tea towels that don't leave fluff on dishes. The swimming pool was great, and we appreciated using the restaurant for both a sit-in meal and a takeaway. All the staff were brilliant. It was great fun for our young child while also being a relaxing stay.

Pitch was perfect, on the edge of the park but only a small campsite so everything was nearby anyway. Only annoying thing was you had to order bread day before, they didn’t tell you this though until you went to get it

A wonderful and unique holiday park

We had an absolutely amazing holiday - the site is so family friendly, with a really relaxed and happy vibe to it. We instantly felt comfortable and at home. The pitch was a really good size for our camper van and awning and there was loads of room left too for a dining area. It was lovely and shaded. The toilet and shower block was immaculate - there were frequently staff cleaning it during the day. The swimming pools provided lots of fun for my son - he really enjoyed the variety the slides gave. The restaurant / bar area was a lovely place with delicious food and really friendly staff. We have visited many sites in France but this is definitely the best site we have ever been to. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

We found this to be an excellent site. Reception were most helpful, pitch was great and the sanitary facilities were spotless. We only stayed for 5 nights but will be booking for longer next year.

Fab Holiday

Beautiful site in a lovely location. The only down side was this pitch is not really suitable for a 3.2m height motorhome. The trees are quiet low on this pitch and should be prunned. The pitch it self is of a good size but very tight to turn a motorhome around. You have to turn vehicle around to be able to get on and off the ramp access.

Top holiday

Excellent holiday, great pools, nice facilities. Outdoor fitness area could do with pull up and dip bars because the machines are useless, but I used the kids playground and worried the neighbours.

Large pitch but the private facilities were a let down

The private facilities are an excellent idea, however, due to the weather they were too hot to use most of the time. They were lovely and clean. The shower was excellent. They need a different roof on to prevent the heat being too high inside the hut. Everyone around us left the door open whilst they were on the pitch. We had a similar experience with our Conservatory at home and had an extra roof put on which kept the light in but allowed it to be cool in summer and warm in winter. I know it is an added expense but I am sure that it would benefit the site in the long run

Underwhelmed

Got to the park for 4pm not much left in the shop. The park was very picturesque and grounds well maintained. We can understand maintenance needs to be done but there must have been several different trades working when we stayed. The staff were unable to make a cappuccino I was served with a cup of froth. If I am paying good money I think we deserve a fully stocked shop and someone able to make a decent coffee, at least.

Great Pitch and lovely Mobile

Were due to stay in the new pitch 618 but due to the recent bad weather we were called by Moulin to say that we wouldn't be able to stay in our booked accommodation but they would upgrade to an AUdrix. The mobile was great and worked really well for the pair of us. Really appreciate the phone call before hand, thank you and see you in September. There is still some building working being undertaken but it didn't effect our holiday.

Holiday visit 13th to 18th Oct '23

A most enjoyable stay. Certainly family focused and child friendly - but not something that we have to consider any more! Very friendly welcome and helpful staff. Close to the very end of the season so cafe/restaurant opening times were somewhat reduced. We came in a camper van and hired a self-contained welfare pod - most welcome! Its a good location for tourist visits into the Dordoyne and an acceptable walk to the local village [Belves] for bars/restaurants. We'd certainly come again, but likely mid Sept i.e. once schools back and ensuring more local facilities were open.

Return visit

Been coming to Moulin as a family for over 20 years, always stay in 618 due to its location although the present caravan is starting to show its age with small amounts of damage. Nice to see the work completed to Resturant and reception. Hopefully will return next year.

Happy Holiday

We had the best time on this site, Helen on reception was fantastic and so very helpful and the bar staff were also great. The pitches are anazing and have plenty of shade, we certainly needed it. The pools and slides are fab and kept us entertained for hours. The whole site was like a beautiful National Trust, so clean and beautiful, we loved it and would go back

FANTASTIC !

We have just spent 2 wonderful weeks camping at Le Moulin de la Pique. Our pitch was large, easily accommodating our motor home and awning and sat directly over looking the sports field . In my opinion, if you have children who like to join in with others, these are the best pitches . We particularly like using RCN as we always find our fellow Dutch campers very friendly and our children always mix in very easily with the other children, playing football and table tennis until it gets dark. The wonderful cleaning staff worked tirelessly to maintain clean toilets and showers and we found the restaurant staff very friendly. Our children are too old for organised entertainment but the youngsters on the site all seemed to having fun with the energetic entertainment staff. This site is situated in a wonderful part of France and is surrounded by many beautiful medieval villages and chateaus. This was our 2nd visit and we will definitely return for a third!

Nice campsite however our pitch didn't have any grass and while raining the water was let onto the pitch

The swimming pool should be garded at least with somebody to prevent people jumping and diving in the pool. During a visit my wife broke a rib by a younster jumping in the pool without checking if there was already somebody swimming.

Great facilities, clean and lots to do on site and nearby

5 nights camping. Great size pitch for our 6 berth tent and shelter. Clean facilities with lots of room. Pool and slides were super fun, kids loved the lazy river... as did the big kids! Great location really close to the gorgeous town of Belves. I recommend going there for dinner... the food in the little restaurants was outstanding.

Fantastic

We really had a very nice stay. The glamping tent was very confortable. Fantastic swimmimg pools! We only complain about the temperature of shower water in the sanitary blocks. It's not possible to regulate the temperature and most days the water was really hot for a shower. Aparte from that, our stay was perfect.

El camping nos ha gustado muchísimo; parcelas y bungalows integrados estupendamente entre una gran variedad de árboles. La piscina muy divertida con los toboganes. La zona de juego está genial, mesas de ping pong al lado de un gran espacio de llerva con porterías y canastas, tirolina. .. genial. Lo único negativo era que el menaje de cocina era un poco escaso.

Amazing!!!!

We had such an amazing stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We arrived super late but they gave us a call before we arrived to let us know all the details we needed for our stay. The site was beautiful, super clean and had everything you needed with only a short way to town! Would highly recommend staying here - we will definitely be back!

Wij hebben deze camping als zeer prettig ervaren,jammer was wel dat de verbouwing nog niet gereed was, Daardoor liep het onderhouden van het sanitair een beetje achter. Verder hebben wij een uistekende vakantie gehad, zeker de manager en het overige personeel waren uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam . Wij komen hier zeker nogeens terug alle lof voor de manager en het personeel deze waren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam

Coming to Moulin for 21 years

Returned to Moulin de La picque after a 3 year break. As a family we’ve been coming for the past 20 years. On arrival we found building work being done to the restaurant and reception and no site shop which there was no mention of when we booked but there was an apology note from the park manager which was good. Lots of new mobile homes and tents since we last stayed which is good. Stayed in ate usual mobile which if honest is stating to show its age. Overall another great holiday at moulin so much so we’re back in September hopefully to find the building work completed.

Perfect stay

We had an amazing time! The staff are a credit to the place welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was lovely and my youngest loved the kids meals and he’s so fussy! The grounds are beautiful and well kept we stayed in June and it was really quiet and peaceful. The pools are outstanding and the various play areas are a bonus. The daily fresh bread is a nice touch thanks for a memorable holiday we loved it and we will return

Superb stay

We’ve spent our autumn holidays in the Moulin de la Pique camping and the experience was more than we’d initially expected. All the facilities working properly and clean. The camping is huge and well maintained. The location was perfect for us to visit the Perigord Noir and surroundings. And of course, the staff were very helpful and kind with us. We really appreciate! 😉

Le Moulin de la Pique

Een leuke camping waar voor de kinderen voldoende te doen is. In de omgeving is voldoende te doen, maar al wel snel een half uurtje of meer rijden. Het sanitair dient op een aantal plekken snel vervangen te worden, dit is echt achterstallig en daardoor niet meer goed schoon te maken. Het speel- en voetbalveld is niet verlicht waardoor de camping om 22.00 uur goed stil is. Een verlicht voetbalveld aan de rand van de camping zou een mooie aanvulling zijn, zodat de ouder jeugd nog even door kan gaan als de jongere kinderen in bed liggen.

Beautiful Site in the Dordogne

We had a wonderful time, on a brilliant pitch at the edge of the site, our kids loved the pools, we enjoyed the restaurant and made good use of the shop for our breakfasts. We loved the location and being able to walk into Belves. Shower and washing facilities all very good.

Overall a good holiday. bad start because linen paid for was not available and could not be dealt with on site. Time wasted unnecessarily purchasing sheets and towels. Biron good accommodation but starting to look tired - crack in roof, door lock inefficient. Pitch and putt scruffy; Our 3rd visit to site.

Nice park and a wonderfull location

We had an great stay. Only suggestion is to make a bigger shop. And the baguettes 🥖 are to hard for the kids and for us. And the chemical toilet was to far from our place 29.

A first class holiday park

We have just had a great stay at this lovely holiday park. We were it seemed the only English on site but that was not a problem. Lovely facilities particularly loved the extra touch of private bathroom everyone so very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend the site and looking forward to returning in the future
