As a technician and gardening employee you will carry out a range of tasks in those areas at our beautiful holiday park. Together with your team, you will be looking after maintenance of the grounds, the swimming pool, the gardens and/or the facilities so that everything looks in apple-pie order. You’ll be helping our guests to have that carefree holiday feeling at a lovingly maintained holiday park.
What you will be doing
You will be responsible for the operational maintenance of buildings and hire facilities. You will carry out maintenance work to the installations (electrical and water), pipes and other ground-related activities and keeping the inventory in order. Has a lightbulb broken or is there a problem in the shower block? You’ll make sure that this is fixed as soon as possible. You will do all the pruning, ensure the camping pitches are neatly mown and look after general maintenance such as cleaning the swimming pool. The latter activity includes monitoring the water, maintaining the terraces around the pool and cleaning the water in the pool.
Who we are
RCN Val de Cantobre lies in the middle of the unspoilt Les Grands Causses Regional Natural Park with breath-taking, panoramic views over limestone highlands and wooded hills. The terraces are situated on the southern side of the mountain and always in the sun! The surroundings are perfect for cyclists and hikers. But for those who like adventure there are plenty of sporting challenges such as canoeing, canyoning, paragliding or extreme bungee jumping with leaps from 46 to 107 metres height!
What we are looking for
A lot! But that’s what makes it so challenging and instructive. Working in a holiday park puts big demands on flexibility. Needless to say, you understand that this job will entail working at weekends and on public holidays, all during the holiday season.
- are at least 18 years old
- are technically skilled
- are sociable, hospitable and enthusiastic
- have relevant training and are educated to senior secondary vocational level in terms of work and intellectual ability
- knowledge of French, Dutch and/or German is not essential but is a nice-to-have
- preferably in possession of a certificate in first aid /emergency safety at work
- can provide a recent Certificate of Conduct
- are available for a minimum of 6 weeks in July and August
