RCN Laacher See | Camping pitch with lake view

The RCN Laacher See terrain covers seven hectares. The camping sites are easily accessible and flat, located in the Eifel Volcano National Park. These camping pitches have a great view of the crater lake.

 

All pitches have their own electricity connection and a water tap nearby. The camping site is sunny, but due to the natural vegetation it also has the necessary shaded areas.

 

Sanitary
There are modern sanitary facilities. In the two sanitary buildings you will find a baby and children's room. We also welcome disabled guests, for them there are adapted showers.

 

Playground
Spread across the site there is a variety of playground equipment. They are indicated on the map.

 

Car
On all pitches the car must be parked next to the pitch.

 

Pets
Pets are welcome (for a fee). Dogs are unfortunately not allowed on the sunbathing area by the lake.

 

Wi-Fi
You can use free Wi-Fi.

some good things, some bad
The lake and setting was beautiful. We enjoyed swimming there. The camping pitches are well defined with hedges. But the google link did not match up to the pitch location so it took us a long time to find. We also paid more for a lakeside pitch but it was not lakeside at all. Second, the EV charger did not work. These delays meant that by the time we came to the restaurant in the evening the kitchen was closed. So we had to take the children back to a rasthaus on the autobahn for dinner and to charge the car. Please fix the EV charger and make sure the pitches are linked accurately and we will come again.

Great site
We stayed here because we had stayed at an RCN site in The Netherlands which was very good. The site is well maintained, toilets block clean and functional. It was lovely and peaceful with amazing views. We cycled round the lake which was beautiful. No pool but a beautiful lake to swim in with steps down into it and a sunbathing area. It was only a two might stop on our way further south so we didn’t explore the region.

Excellent stay
Quiet, clean and well designed park with plenty of facilities like restaurant, takeaway, bread orders. Clean, warm shower blocks and well kept pitches.
