We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to help keep our kitchen running smoothly. You will play a key role in supporting our chefs and ensuring our kitchen is clean, organized, and safe.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation as needed.
Handle waste disposal and follow hygiene and safety standards.
Stock kitchen supplies and report low inventory.
Support the kitchen team during busy periods.
La Ferme du Latois is located in the scenic French countryside but also close to the sea. Formerly it was a farmstead but now it is an atmospheric park with a pleasant rural feel. The old stables is now in use as the main building and there are many other remaining references to the romantic farming past. There’s everything to do in the surrounding area. Inside quarter of an hour’s drive you’ll be on the beach. That’s just as well, because the Vendée has the most sunshine hours in the whole of France!
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is a plus, but not required.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Good communication skills in English (French language skills are a plus).
