Typical French towns

There are twenty typically French towns in the Ardèche. They are also described as ‘Villages de caractère’ in French. A couple of towns nearby are:

- Labeaume (20 minute drive), close to the River La Beaume, has a beautiful beach and you can sit on a terrace with a beautiful view of the river.

- Banne (25 minute drive), has fortifications of a castle from the 16^thcentury that you can visit.

- Voguë (30 minute drive) also has a beautiful castle.
