Where used items get a new life

This is the place where you can give items you no longer use a new life. By offering your items here, others get the chance to enjoy them again. Who knows, what you no longer need might become someone else's treasure.

What is the Treasure Chest?

No more space in the car? A book you've read too many times, or a football that is no longer used? Don't throw these items away, but place them in the Treasure Cabinet. This way, someone else can still use them during their vacation!

Where is the Treasure Chest?

You can find the Treasure Chest at RCN de Jagerstee, RCN Laacher See, and RCN La Bastide en Ardèche. The chest is located near the recycling area.

Do you want to take something?

You can just unpack items from it. Returning something? That's not necessary, but feel free to contribute to the Treasure Chest whenever you want. This way, the circle of giving and receiving keeps moving.

The story

How did the Treasure Chest come about?

At RCN Holiday Parks, we work hard to create unique holiday experiences with an eye for the world around us. All our parks are located directly in or near beautiful natural areas, which we want to protect with care. An important part of this mission is minimizing our residual waste.

 

In addition to being sustainable by extending the lifespan of products through reuse, the Treasure Chest itself is also a model of sustainability. This unique cabinet is made from reused train parts. If you look closely, you can see train ceilings, doors, and windows in it. A circular cabinet that not only gives items a second life but also reuses materials, thus contributing to a more sustainable world.
